Zhiming Luo is Aearo’s Technical Director. Zhiming leads our technical team and manages Aearo’s Acoustic Technology Center with a customer-focused approach to new product development and commercialization.

Zhiming joined Aearo in 2006 as an Acoustic Engineer and has held roles of increasing responsibilities in technical service, application engineering, new product development, and commercialization. By 2008, he was responsible for global technical support for all business teams globally. In 2017, he was named Engineering Manager for the aircraft business and held that role until 2020, when he became the Application and Commercialization Leader. In February 2021, he assumed his current role as Technical Director. Prior to Aearo, he held NVH engineering and project manager positions for various companies. He holds a B.S. and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in engineering mechanics from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He is married with an adult son. Outside of work he enjoys reading, following professional sports, and spending time with his family.
